Wellness Program

Disease/Condition Specific Exercise

Utilizing scientifically researched and medically supported exercise, Lazarus House creates a condition specific program for each client to address collateral and life interrupting issues of chronic illness such as cachexia - disease related muscle loss which contributes to weakness, lack of energy, and depression.

Nutritional Guidance

Each client has ongoing support from our Nutritional Coach throughout their program ensuring optimal outcomes.

Support

Clients exercise alongside peers in a safe place free of fears and stigma often experienced in general settings.  Research has validated peer support to be one of the best optimizer for program adherence, and at Lazarus House this is obvious.

Who We Serve

Lazarus House serves adults and adolescents with chronic illness/condition where muscle loss may be a collateral issue.  Some of the conditions we work with include, but are not limited to:

  • Cancer
  • Stroke
  • MS
  • HIV
  • Spinal cord injury/disease
  • Cerebral palsy

All participants are qualified and released by their physician to begin the Wellness Program.
