FAQs regarding the Lazarus House Expansion:
Why is Lazarus House expanding?
Lazarus House was founded with a simple goal: to help those in the Houston and surrounding communities who are faced with chronic illness live not only longer but stronger. Our Wellness Program provides HOPE to those in NEED. Today more than ever it is imperative that we be proactive in our health care. Lazarus House currently provides that opportunity with a low or NO cost Wellness Program. Today we are at capacity, serving over 50 clients daily. We have a growing waiting list. Houston NEEDS Lazarus House and in order for us to meet the growing demand for our services, we must expand.
Where are we in the build out process?
Cre8, our talented architects, have finalized all drawings, and following a re-plat, we will secure necessary permitting with the city. It's been quite the challenge, but because those working on the project have been diligent in their efforts, we will have an exceptional, state of the art facility that we know will make Houston proud.
Who will be utilizing the expansion?
Lazarus House offers services to adults and adolescents who are managing chronic illnesses including but not limited to HIV, cancer, stroke, MS, and spinal cord injury/disease.
USA Houston, a Houston based charity supporting those with spinal cord injury or disease, will also be offering services from our significantly expanded facility.
There will be lease opportunities for our Tree House, an accessible multipurpose classroom, to the Houston community. Call Lazarus House if interested. 713-526-5071.
